Dialectical Behavioral Therapy

  • Offered both in individual therapy for adults and adolescents or a weekly skills group for adults, DBT is considered the treatment of choice for people with impulsivity, difficulties in relationships, emotional dysregulation, self-harm, and suicidal behaviors.
  • Focuses on the balance between change and acceptance.
  • Four core modules: Mindfulness, Interpersonal Effectiveness, Emotion Regulation and Distress Tolerance.
